Share market update: IT shares mixed; Infibeam Avenues surges 8%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Infibeam Avenues (up 8.25 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.55 per cent), Wipro (up 0.52 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.13 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Mindtree (down 0.50 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.38 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 0.35 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.31 per cent) were trading lower.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.07 per cent up at 15,419.10 around 11:02 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 107.40 points at 11,142.80 while the BSE Sensex was up 313.51 points at 36,984.94.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 were trading in the green, while 4 were in the red.

Shares of Coal India, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, Motherson Sumi, Bank of Baroda, NTPC and HPCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
