Share market update: IT shares mixed; Infibeam Avenues plunges 10%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading mixed with the Nifty IT index up 0.75 per cent at 14,461.85 on Friday.

Shares of HCL Technologies (up 3.68 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 1.93 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.87 per cent) and Wipro (up 1.19 per cent) were trading in the green.

Infibeam Avenues (down 10.74 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 3.53 per cent), NIIT Technologies (down 1.25 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.75 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.25 points at 10,678.95 while BSE Sensex was up 225.14 points at 35,485.68 around 01:42 pm.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Idea Cellular, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Motherson Sumi, Bharti Airtel, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank and RIL were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
