Share market update: IT shares mixed; Infibeam Avenues falls 1%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's morning session.

Shares of Wipro (up 1.10 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.07 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.49 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.20 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Infibeam Avenues (down 1.55 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 1.54 per cent), Infosys (down 0.86 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.59 per cent) were trading with losses.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.10 per cent down at 16,069.35 around 10:08 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.75 points at 11,772.40 while the BSE Sensex was down 11.53 points at 39,264.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
