Share market update: IT shares mixed; Infibeam Avenues dips 1%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Wipro (up 0.76 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 0.53 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.32 per cent) and Mindtree (up 0.15 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Infibeam Avenues (down 0.92 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.88 per cent), Infosys (down 0.77 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (down 0.57 per cent) were trading with losses.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.11 per cent down at 16,076 around 10:07 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 94.65 points at 11,617.60 while the BSE Sensex was down 314.09 points at 38,649.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, ONGC, SAIL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Steel, Motherson Sumi and Infosys were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
