Share market update: IT shares in the red; Mindtree dips 2%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the red in Wednesday's session.

Shares of Info Edge (India) (down 4.94 per cent) , Mindtree (down 1.89 per cent) , Infosys (down 0.93 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.42 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.22 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.19 per cent down at 13420.6 around 12:04PM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 65.70 points at 8944.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 210.73 points at 30406.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, BHEL, SBI, Alok Industries, Adani Power, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
