Share market update: IT shares in the green; Mindtree rises 3%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the green in Monday's session.

Shares of MPhasis (up 5.48 per cent), Mindtree (up 3.19 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 2.98 per cent), NIIT Technologies (up 2.93 per cent), Infosys (up 2.7 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 2.5 per cent), Wipro (up 2.23 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty IT index was trading 2.42 per cent up at 13727.65 around 12:05PM .


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 66.45 points at 9317.95 , while the BSE Sensex was up 215.62 points at 31858.32 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Motherson Sumi, RBL Bank Ltd., SBI, Vedanta , RIL, Ashok Leyland and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
