Share market update: IT shares in the green; Infibeam Avenues jumps 4%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the green with the Nifty IT index trading 0.12 per cent up at 14,655.05 on Monday.

Shares of Infibeam Avenues (up 4.38 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 1.39 per cent), Wipro (up 0.89 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.36 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.23 per cent), Infosys (up 0.05 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.03 per cent) too were trading in the green.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.55 points at 10,862.2 while BSE Sensex was 24.45 points down at 36,169.85 around 12:07 pm.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Sun Pharma, Ashok Leyland, Idea Cellular, Vedanta, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, BHEL, Tata Steel and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
