Share market update: IT shares in the green; HCL Tech gains 3%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's session.

Shares of Info Edge (India) (up 3.0 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 2.75 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.84 per cent), Infosys (up 1.7 per cent), Mindtree (up 1.69 per cent), NIIT Technologies (up 1.38 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 1.07 per cent) and Wipro (up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty IT index was trading 1.66 per cent up at 13351.6 around 02:11PM .


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 150.90 points at 9531.8 , while the BSE Sensex was up 523.83 points at 32638.35 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Motherson Sumi, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, SAIL, SBI and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
