Share market update: IT shares dip; HCL Tech down nearly 1%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading lower in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.84 per cent), HCL Technologies (down 0.79 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (down 0.75 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Infosys (down 0.59 per cent), NIIT Technologies (down 0.35 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.21 per cent) too were trading lower.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.22 per cent down at 15,903.20 around 10:04 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20.50 points at 10,851.90 while the BSE Sensex was up 103.0 points at 36256.62.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Sun Pharma, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, ITC, Coal India, Adani Ports SEZ, Axis Bank, SAIL, SBI and Vodaofone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
