Share market update: Infra stocks jump; RInfra climbs 10%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading in the green in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 26.35 per cent) , Reliance Power (up 17.95 per cent) , Reliance Infrastructure (up 9.85 per cent) and NBCC (India) (up 9.04 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

NCC (up 6.71 per cent) , GMR Infrastructure (up 6.55 per cent) , IRB Infrastructure Developers (up 5.57 per cent) and CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 4.86 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 1.18 per cent up at 3296.25 around 12:22 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.20 points at 11,648.55 while the BSE Sensex was up 207.21 points at 39,259.27.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, BHEL, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SAIL, ZEEL, NBCC, Ashok Leyland and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
