Share market update: Infra stocks jump; NCC surges over 13%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading with gains in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of NCC (up 13.45 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (up 9.38 per cent) , Siemens (up 7.55 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 7.38 per cent) were trading in the green.

Engineers India (up 4.16 per cent) , IRB Infrastructure Developers (up 3.92 per cent) , Container Corporation of India (up 3.91 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (up 3.43 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 3.74 per cent up at 3237.65 around 12:25 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 382.45 points at 11,656.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 1284.50 points at 39,299.12.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, ITC, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Petronet LNG and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
