Share market update: Infra stocks gain; Siemens rises 2%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading in the green in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Interglobe Aviation (up 2.39 per cent), Siemens (up 2.23 per cent), NTPC (up 1.56 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.55 per cent), IRB Infrastructure Developers (up 1.55 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India (up 1.51 per cent), Container Corporation of India (up 1.22 per cent), Vodafone Idea (up 0.95 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (up 0.94 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 0.62 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.42 per cent up at 3168.5 around 12:02 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.85 points at 11675.7 , while the BSE Sensex was up 16.81 points at 39752.34 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, ITC, Tata Motors, SBI, SAIL, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
