Share market update: Infra stocks gain; NCC climbs over 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading with gains in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of NCC (up 5.52 per cent) , Vodafone Idea (up 4.85 per cent) , GMR Infrastructure (up 3.05 per cent) and NBCC (India) (up 2.31 per cent) were trading in the green.

Tata Power Company (up 2.06 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (up 2.01 per cent) , Torrent Power (up 2.00 per cent) and Siemens (up 1.99 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.77 per cent up at 3117.95 around 12:27 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 88.70 points at 11,215.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 312.09 points at 37,844.07.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, Tata Motors, NALCO, ZEEL, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
