Share market update: Infra stocks advance; NCC jumps 6%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading with gains in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of NCC (up 5.95 per cent) , NBCC (India) (up 5.29 per cent) , Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.95 per cent) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 3.38 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Adani Power (up 3.10 per cent) , GMR Infrastructure (up 3.02 per cent) , Suzlon Energy (up 1.92 per cent) and CESC (up 1.89 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.67 per cent up at 3281.25 around 12:25 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 135.10 points at 11,762.25 while the BSE Sensex was up 478.68 points at 39,728.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, SBI, SAIL, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors (DVR) and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
