Share market update: Hathway Cable, TV18 Broadcast among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 161.79 points down at 40893.90 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Hathway Cable (up 20 per cent), Ind Bank Housing (up 19.42 per cent), Prithvi Exchange (up 19.04 per cent), HBL Power (up 18.56 per cent), Savera Ind (up 17.61 per cent), Gian Life Care (up 15.63 per cent), Comfort Intech (up 14.65 per cent), Lahoti Overseas (up 11.74 per cent), TV18 Broadcast (up 11.53 per cent) and JCT Ltd (up 10.96 per cent) were among the best performers.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 55.30 points down at 11,990.50.
