Share market update: FMCG shares mixed; Jubilant Foodworks gains 2%

NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading mixed in Thursday's morning session.

Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (up 2.01 per cent), ITC (up 0.96 per cent), Marico (up 0.72 per cent) and ColgatePalmolive (India) (up 0.66 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Britannia Industries (down 1.71 per cent), United Spirits (down 1.14 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (down 1.07 per cent), and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.66 per cent) were trading with losses.


The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 30,355.45 around 11:17 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20 points at 11,768.15 while the BSE Sensex was up 98.61 points at 39,130.16.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, SBI, SAIL, ICICI Bank, ONGC, JSW Steel, Indian Oil Corp, RIL, DLF, Motherson Sumi and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
