Share market update: Fertilizer stocks trade higher; Deepak Fertilizers jumps 6%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading with gains in Monday's afternoon session.

Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (up 6.24 per cent) , Shiva Global Agro Industries (up 4.96 per cent) , Zuari Agro (up 3.79 per cent) , Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 2.71 per cent) , Bharat Agri Fertilizer & Realty (up 2.24 per cent) , National Fertilizer (up 2.13 per cent) , Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (up 1.60 per cent) and Rama Phosphates (up 1.06 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore (up 1.01 per cent) , Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.99 per cent) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 0.35 per cent) too were trading higher.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 11.50 points down at 11,883.95 while the 30share BSE Sensex was down 69.22 points at 40,287.47 at around 02:05 pm.

Tata Steel (up 3.87 per cent) , UPL (up 3.76 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (up 3.70 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 3.41 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, YES Bank (down 3.28 per cent) , Britannia Industries (down 1.81 per cent) , Bajaj Auto (down 1.64 per cent) and Wipro (down 1.48 per cent) were trading in the red.
