Share market update: Fertilizer stocks rise; Deepak Fertilizers zooms 8%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading on a positive note in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Basant Agro Tech (India) (up 8.57 per cent), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (up 8.03 per cent), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore (up 7.54 per cent), Rama Phosphates (up 7.47 per cent) and GSFC (up 7.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 7.11 per cent), Aries Agro (up 6.42 per cent), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.69 per cent), Phosphate Company (up 4.95 per cent) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem (up 4.78 per cent) were the other gainers among fertilizer stocks.


Shiva Global Agro Industries (down 2.56 per cent) was the sole loser among fertilizer stocks.

The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 185.20 points up at 12210.55, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 625.26 points at 41443 at around 01:23 pm.
