Share market update: Fertilizer stocks rise; Deepak Fertilizers up 3%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading on a positive note in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Basant Agro Tech (India) (up 5.14 per cent), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 4.80 per cent), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (up 2.73 per cent), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Southern Petrochemicals Industries (up 1.81 per cent), Rama Phosphates (up 1.79 per cent), Zuari Agro (up 1.39 per cent), National Fertilizer (up 1.29 per cent), Coromandel International (up 1.09 per cent) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 0.78 per cent) were the other gainers among fertilizer stocks.


While Aries Agro (down 1.67 per cent), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem (down 0.87 per cent), Bharat Agri Fert & Realty (down 0.46 per cent) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (down 0.13 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 55.85 points up at 12312.65, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 195.13 points at 41794.85 at around 01:50 pm.
