Share market update: Fertilizer stocks down; Nagarjuna Fertilizers slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading with losses in Thursday's afternoon session.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers (down 4.87 per cent) , Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (down 3.80 per cent) , Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (down 3.72 per cent) , Rama Phosphates (down 2.44 per cent) , Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (down 2.03 per cent) were trading lower.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.90 per cent) , Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (down 1.36 per cent) , G S F C (down 1.36 per cent) , Southern Petrochemicals Industries (down 1.02 per cent) , Bharat Agri Fertilizer & Realty (down 0.65 per cent) , National Fertilizer (down 0.38 per cent) , Zuari Agro (down 0.06 per cent) too were trading with losses.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 19.05 points up at 11,859.50 at around 02:15 pm.

ICICI Bank (up 2.33 per cent) , Infosys (up 2.27 per cent) , Bajaj Finance (up 1.72 per cent) , YES Bank (up 1.47 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (up 1.31 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Infratel (down 6.58 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (down 3.17 per cent) , UltraTech Cement (down 2.76 per cent) , Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 2.17 per cent) and Hindalco Industries (down 2.15 per cent) were trading in the red.
