Share market update: Fertilizer stocks down; Basant Agro Tech slips 7%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading on a slippery note in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Basant Agro Tech (India) (down 7.01 per cent), Indra Industries (down 4.97 per cent), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem (down 4.39 per cent), Shiva Global Agro Industries (down 3.93 per cent), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (down 1.95 per cent), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (down 1.44 per cent), Coromandel International (down 0.97 per cent) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (down 0.61 per cent) were among the top losers.

While Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.07 per cent), GSFC (up 0.22 per cent), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.18 per cent), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore (up 0.13 per cent) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (up 0.10 per cent) were among the top gainers.


The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 24.20 points down at 12238.55, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 97.19 points at 41545.47 at around 12:36 pm.
