Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade higher; Crompton rises 2%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables shares were trading higher in Thursday's session.

Shares of Crompton (up 2.6 per cent), Symphony (up 1.74 per cent), Blue Star (up 1.11 per cent), Whirlpool of India (up 0.98 per cent), VIP Industries (up 0.42 per cent), TTK Prestige (up 0.37 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (up 0.31 per cent) and Voltas (up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 27807.34 around 10:59 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.50 points at 12128.4 , while the BSE Sensex was down 6.71 points at 41316.29.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jyothy Labs, Tata Motors, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd., Tata Chemicals, Max Financial Services, Shriram Tran Fin and M&M were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
