Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade higher; Blue Star up 2%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables shares were trading higher in Friday's session.

Shares of Blue Star (up 1.73 per cent), Symphony (up 0.74 per cent), CROMPTON (up 0.72 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (up 0.33 per cent), VIP Industries (up 0.26 per cent) and Voltas (up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.37 per cent up at 27064.34 around 12:01 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 22.80 points at 12151.85 , while the BSE Sensex was down 78.66 points at 41,381.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, India Grid Trust, YES Bank, Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Tata Motors, SBI, Orient Electric Ltd., PowerGrid, IDBI Bank and Bharti Airtel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
