Share market update: Consumer Durables shares down; Voltas dips over 1%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was flat in Monday's afternoon session with most of its components trading lower.

Shares of Whirlpool of India (down 1.87 per cent), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (down 1.77 per cent) and Voltas (down 1.20 per cent) were trading in the red.

VIP Industries (down 1 per cent), Rajesh Exports (down 0.13 per cent) and Blue Star (down 0.11 per cent) too were trading with losses.


The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.14 per cent up at 23,344.46 around 12:09 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 23 points at 11,255.90 while the BSE Sensex was down 32.26 points at 37,430.73.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of RCom, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, IDFC First Bank, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, PC Jeweller, PNB, Sun Pharma and Jet Airways were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
