Share market update: Capital goods index down 1%; Suzlon Energy, NBCC top losers

Thermax, GE T&D India, ABB India, SKF India, Larsen & Toubro and Elgi Equipments fell up to 1 per cent.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
NEW DELHI: The BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.96 per cent down at 17,628 around 02:25 pm on Monday with Suzlon Energy (down 4.86 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 4.43 per cent) and CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 4.19 per cent) as the top losers.

BEML (down 3.94 per cent), Dilip Buildcon (down 3.94 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 3.76 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 3.49 per cent), Siemens (down 2.79 per cent), Graphite India (down 2.65 per cent) and Bharat Electronics (down 2.55 per cent) also fell significantly.

Shares of Carborundum Universal, V-Guard Industries, Sadbhav Engineering, BHEL, HEG and Lakshmi Machine Works declined up to 2 per cent.


Thermax, GE T&D India, ABB India, SKF India, Larsen & Toubro and Elgi Equipments fell up to 1 per cent.

Benchmark BSE Sensex was 103 points down at 36,439, while the NSE Nifty50 index was down 55 points at 10,964.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

In the Sensex index, 13 stocks were advancing, while 18 were declining.

Infosys, NTPC, Wipro and Hindustan Unilever were leading the pack of Sensex gainers.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
