Share market update: BSE Utilities index slips; RInfra down 3%
The S&P BSE Utilities index was trading 0.39 per cent down at 1837.61.

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (down 2.63 per cent), Reliance Power (down 2.52 per cent), Adani Transmissions (down 2.25 per cent), BF Utilities (down 1.77 per cent), Indraprastha Gas (down 1.59 per cent), NTPC (down 1.15 per cent), Nava Bharat Ventures (down 1.14 per cent), CESC (down 1.13 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India (down 1.0 per cent) and Adani Power (down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While VA Tech Wabag (up 10.81 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (up 5.31 per cent), Jaiprakash Power Ventures (up 5.0 per cent), GVK Power & Infrastructure (up 4.9 per cent), RTN Infra (up 4.88 per cent), RTN Power (up 4.67 per cent), Indian Energy (up 4.6 per cent), KSK Energy Ventures (up 3.64 per cent), Orient Green Power Company (up 3.32 per cent) and JSW Energy (up 2.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Utilities index was trading 0.39 per cent down at 1837.61 around 12:59 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty-50 index was down 55.00 points at 12227.2, while the BSE Sensex was 166.35 points at 41460.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, GMR Infra, Tata Motors, Indiabulls Housing Finance, NCC, HDFC Bank, ONGC and Hind Copper were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
