Share market update: BSE Telecom index flat; RCom slips 5%

NEW DELHI: BSE Telecom index was trading flat on Wednesday's afternoon session.
Shares of Reliance Communications (down 4.95 per cent), Vodafone Idea (down 2.09 per cent), ITI (down 0.11 per cent) and Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Optiemus Infracom (up 4.99 per cent), Tejas Network (up 3.45 per cent), OnMobile Global (up 3.12 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (up 2.6 per cent) and HFCL Ltd (up 1.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 1270.93 around 01:06PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 45.65 points at 11140.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 143.52 points at 37831.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, NALCO and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
