Share market update: BSE Smallcap index up; Sunteck Realty skyrockets 18%

NEW DELHI: BSE Smallcap index was trading on a positive note on Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Sunteck Realty (up 18.25 per cent), Welspun Enterprises (up 15.97 per cent), Agro Tech Foods (up 15.09 per cent), Siyaram Silk Mills (up 12.99 per cent), Gokaldas Exports (up 12.24 per cent), DFM Foods (up 11.25 per cent) and Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (up 9.7 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Zen Technologies (down 5.7 per cent), Omaxe (down 4.96 per cent), Kellton Tech Solutions (down 4.95 per cent), Reliance Communications (down 4.95 per cent), MEP (down 4.92 per cent), Sharda Cropchem Ltd (down 4.77 per cent) and Firstsource Solutions (down 4.76 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.76 per cent up at 13418.62 around 02:12PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 4.45 points at 11099.7, while the BSE Sensex was 13.58 points at 37674.33.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, NALCO, SAIL, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and Federal Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
