Share market update: BSE Smallcap Index flat; Dish TV surges 8%

NEW DELHI: The BSE Smalcap index was trading flat in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Godawari Power & Ispat (up 10.68 per cent), Dish TV India (up 8.29 per cent), Max Ventures and Industries (up 7.33 per cent), Suprajit Engineering (up 6.08 per cent), Sarda Energy & Minerals (up 5.77 per cent), Neuland Laboratories (up 5.35 per cent) and JK Agri Genetics Ltd (up 4.99 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Dishman Carbogen (down 10.3 per cent), Coffee Day Enterprises (down 4.98 per cent), Simplex Infrastructures (down 4.96 per cent), D B Realty (down 4.91 per cent), Reliance Naval and Engineering (down 4.89 per cent) and Sutlej Textiles and Industries (down 4.89 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 13420.67 around 11:06 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 19.85 points at 12279.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 58.47 points at 41732.3.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Petronet LNG, SBI, SAIL, JSPL, Bank of Baroda and Adani Ports SEZ were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
