Share market update: BSE Power index trades flat; KEC International up over 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Power index was trading 0.01 per cent up at 1991.66 around 12:17 pm on Monday with most of its components trading with gains.

Shares of KEC International (up 2.66 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 1.39 per cent), Adani Transmission (up 0.99 per cent) and Thermax (up 0.96 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Reliance Infrastructure (up 0.93 per cent), Torrent Power (up 0.89 per cent) and GMR Infrastructure (up 0.62 per cent) too were in the green.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.10 points at 10,865 while the BSE Sensex was up 3.64 points at 36,080.36.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, JP Associates, Hind Construction Company, HDIL, SAIL, YES Bank, Spicejet, NCC, Dewan Housing, Suzlon Energy, Adani Power, NBCC, PC Jeweller, PNB, Bank of India, JSPL and CG Power and Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
