Share market update: BSE Oil & Gas index flat; GAIL, RIL among top gainers

NEW DELHI: OMCs were mixed in Monday's afternoon session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.

Shares of GAIL (India) (up 1.07 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 0.52 per cent), Petronet LNG (up 0.18 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.16 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Indraprastha Gas (down 1.93 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.65 per cent), Castrol India (down 0.33 per cent) and Oil India (down 0.24 per cent) were trading in the red.


The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 15,286.14 around 12:04 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 34.75 points at 11,703.90 while the BSE Sensex was up 139.63 points at 39,011.50.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Power, Reliance Communications, Suzlon Energy, Laksmi Vilas Bank, PNB, Tata Motors, Adani Power, Indian Energy Exchange and Reliance Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
