Share market update: BSE Oil & Gas index down; BPCL, ONGC among top losers

NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading lower in Thursday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading lower.

Shares of Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.21 per cent) , Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 1.65 per cent) , GAIL (India) (down 1.57 per cent) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 1.47 per cent) were trading in the negative zone.

Gujarat State Petronet (down 1.32 per cent) , Reliance Industries (down 0.85 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (down 0.38 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.68 per cent down at 15,346.73 around 11:43 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 24.40 points at 11974.7 , while the BSE Sensex was 66.99 points at 40584.65 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NCC, Zee Ent., UCO Bank, SAIL, BHEL, RBL Bank and Aditya Birla Capital were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
