Share market update: BSE Midcap index advances; RInfra gains 5%

NEW DELHI: The BSE Midcap index was trading with gains in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Vakrangee Ltd (up 6.0 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.87 per cent), Indiabulls Ventures (up 4.87 per cent), Reliance Capital (up 4.85 per cent) and IDFC First Bank (up 1.9 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Blue Dart Express (down 2.11 per cent), Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (down 1.67 per cent), Wockhardt (down 1.47 per cent), Bank of India (down 1.46 per cent) and National Aluminium Company (down 1.26 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 14983.12 around 10:40 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 26.50 points at 12272.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 97.69 points at 41672.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, Vakrangee and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
