Share market update: BSE Consumer Durables index up; Blue Star rises 3%

NEW DELHI: BSE Consumer Durables index was trading with gains in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Blue Star (up 3.25 per cent), Rajesh Exports (up 1.0 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (up 0.7 per cent), Orient Electric (up 0.42 per cent) and TTK Prestige (up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Sheela Foam (down 2.49 per cent), Voltas (down 1.0 per cent), Whirlpool of India (down 0.31 per cent), Crompton (down 0.19 per cent) and VIP Industries (down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.29 per cent up at 22133.0 around 01:16PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 96.40 points at 11310.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 288.0 points at 38328.57.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, BHEL and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
