Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index up; Siemens rises 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was up in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Lakshmi Machine Works (up 3.74 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (up 2.46 per cent), Siemens (up 2.23 per cent) and Sadbhav Engineering (up 2 per cent) were trading higher.

Larsen & Toubro (up 1.98 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (up 1.60 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 1.39 per cent) and Elgi Equipments (up 1.24 per cent) too were trading in the green.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.34 per cent up at 17,509.14 around 11:52 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 111.85 points at 11,144.30 while the BSE Sensex was up 358.27 points at 37,685.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Avenue Supermarts, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NBCC, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Dilip Buildcon, Indiabulls RE and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
