Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index up; HEG gains 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was up in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of HEG (up 1.89 per cent) , Graphite India (up 1.86 per cent) , Schaeffler India (up 1.5 per cent) , Honeywell Automation India (up 1.2 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (up 0.85 per cent) , Havells India (up 0.55 per cent) , NBCC (India) (up 0.42 per cent) , Finolex Cables (up 0.25 per cent) , V-Guard Industries (up 0.16 per cent) and Thermax (up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While ABB India Ltd (down 12.99 per cent) , Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 2.51 per cent) , Hindustan Aeronautics (down 1.61 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.57 per cent) , Elgi Equipments (down 1.41 per cent) , Carborundum Universal (down 1.12 per cent) , Grindwel Norton (down 0.38 per cent) , SKF India (down 0.25 per cent) , Lakshmi Machine Works (down 0.14 per cent) and Solar Industries India (down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.55 per cent up at 17170.84 around 11:45 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.20 points at 12283.9 , while the BSE Sensex was up 66.87 points at 41740.79 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BHEL, Petronet LNG, SAIL, SBI, JSPL, Bank of Baroda and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
