Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index up; Dilip Buildcon climbs 4%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading higher in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon (up 4.24 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 3.03 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 1.75 per cent) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 1.64 per cent) were trading in the green.

Havells India (up 1.40 per cent), V-Guard Industries (up 1.30 per cent), Finolex Cables (up 1.21 per cent) and Lakshmi Machine Works (up 1.13 per cent) too were trading higher.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.06 per cent down at 18,062.91 around 12:25 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.85 points at 11,475.05 while the BSE Sensex was up 54.31 points at 38149.38.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Torrent Power, Reliance Communications, Reliance Power, PNB, Suzlon Energy, CG Power, Bank of India, Reliance Capital, Union Bank India, SAIL, YES Bank, Reliance Infra, PFC, Sun Pharma, Aditya Birla Capital, South Indian Bank, JP Associates, BHEL and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
