Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index up; BEL climbs over 3%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was up in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Bharat Electronics (up 3.52 per cent) , V-Guard Industries (up 1.99 per cent) , Siemens (up 1.53 per cent) and AIA Engineering (up 1.46 per cent) were trading in the green.

NBCC (India) (up 1.38 per cent) , Honeywell Automation India (up 1.37 per cent) , HEG (up 1.20 per cent) and GE T&D India (up 0.89 per cent) too were trading higher.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.27 per cent up at 18,086.64 around 11:52 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 55.70 points at 11,360.75 while the BSE Sensex was up 186.68 points at 38,313.76.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Rail Vikas Nigam, BHEL, Union Bank India and Bank of India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
