Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index up; NBCC surges over 5%

NEW DELHI:The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.21 per cent up at 18,817.68 around 02:18 pm on Friday with most of its components trading in the positive zone.

Shares of NBCC (India) (up 5.46 per cent), Elgi Equipments (up 4.91 per cent), GE T&D India (up 3.69 per cent) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 2.79 per cent) surged.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 2.38 per cent), Siemens (up 1.72 per cent), Havells India (up 1.61 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (up 1.42 per cent) too were trading with gains.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 101.15 points at 10,880.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 339.59 points at 36,146.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, JP Associates, PC Jeweller, SAIL, Reliance Power, HDIL, YES Bank, NBCC, Adani Power, Jain Irrigation, Reliance Capital, Vodafone Idea, Infibeam Avenues, BHEL, SBI, Union Bank of India, Jagran Prakashan, PNB, PFC and CG Power and Industries were among the most traded shares on the National Stock Exchange.
