Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index flat; Thermax jumps nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.07 per cent up at 18,396.64 around 02:02 pm on Monday with most of its components trading in the green.

Shares of Thermax (up 1.70 per cent), Carborundum Universal (up 1.68 per cent) and Havells India (up 1.68 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

NBCC (India) (up 1.61 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 1.47 per cent) and GE T&D India (up 1.42 per cent) too were trading higher.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 74.25 points at 10,801.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 266.36 points at 35,961.46.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, Berger Paints, YES Bank, JP Associates, Ashok Leyland, IDFC Bank, Reliance Power, HDIL, Dish TV India, Adani Power, Axis Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Motors, PNB, Jet Airways, Spicejet, Aditya Birla Fashio, Thomas Cook, Infibeam Avenues and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the National Stock Exchange.
