Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index flat; CG Power climbs over 4%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was flat in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 4.74 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (up 1.14 per cent), Elgi Equipments (up 1.02 per cent), and Carborundum Universal (up 0.56 per cent) were trading with gains.

GE T&D India (down 2.19 per cent), Dilip Buildcon (down 2.10 per cent), Suzlon Energy (down 1.26 per cent) and HEG (down 1.24 per cent) were trading lower.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.05 per cent up at 18,223.32 around 12:07 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.70 points at 11,681.50 while the BSE Sensex was up 100.38 points at 38,831.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, Reliance Power, Indiabulls RE, PC Jeweller, YES Bank, Reliance Capital, SAIL, Tata Steel, Suzlon Energy, Axis Bank, CG Power, Tata Motors, NTPC, Vodafone Idea, Jet Airways, Adani Power, JSPL, Wipro, Vakrangee and Reliance Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
