Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; Suzlon Energy tanks 9%

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Suzlon Energy (down 8.91 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 3.25 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.87 per cent) and Graphite India (down 2.83 per cent) were trading lower.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 2.69 per cent), Finolex Cables (down 2.54 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 2.30 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (down 1.93 per cent) too were trading in the red.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.60 per cent down at 17,456.08 around 12:25 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 3.55 points at 11,275.35 while the BSE Sensex was up 44.82 points at 37,507.81.

Shares of RCom, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, IDFC First Bank, YES Bank, PC Jeweller, Suzlon Energy, PNB, Sun Pharma, Jet Airways, DHFL, SBI, Reliance Capital, JP Associates, Delta Corp, Vakrangee, Dish TV India, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank India and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
