Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; NBCC dips 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Thermax (down 2.05 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 1.98 per cent), Carborundum Universal (down 1.96 per cent) and HEG (down 1.73 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Sadbhav Engineering (down 1.70 per cent), BEML (down 1.55 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 1.31 per cent) and VGuard Industries (down 1.26 per cent) too were trading lower.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.89 per cent down at 19,372.66 around 12:19 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 99.25 points at 11,724.05 while the BSE Sensex was down 301.58 points at 39,150.49.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Infibeam Avenues, Vodafone Idea, Vakrangee, GMR Infra, Tata Power, BHEL, PNB, Ashok Leyland and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
