Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; NBCC down 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was up in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 2.29 per cent) , NBCC (India) (down 2.06 per cent) , Schaeffler India (down 2.03 per cent) , Carborundum Universal (down 1.45 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.35 per cent) , ABB India Ltd (down 1.21 per cent) , Hindustan Aeronautics (down 1.16 per cent) , Thermax (down 1.01 per cent) , HEG (down 0.83 per cent) , Graphite India (down 0.8 per cent) , AIA Engineering (down 0.67 per cent) , Finolex Cables (down 0.61 per cent) , Sadbhav Engineering (down 0.59 per cent) , Lakshmi Machine Works (down 0.56 per cent) , Siemens (down 0.46 per cent) , SKF India (down 0.36 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (down 0.14 per cent) and Havells India (down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.26 per cent down at 17,593.63 around 11:46 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 72.40 points at 12057.1 , while the BSE Sensex was down 236.51 points at 40,962.15.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd., YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Tata Motors, United Spirits, SAIL and Wockhardt were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
