Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; NBCC falls 2%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Finolex Cables (down 4.40 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.47 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 2.12 per cent) and Lakshmi Machine Works (down 2.08 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

VGuard Industries (down 1.75 per cent), Graphite India (down 1.52 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (down 1.51 per cent) and Thermax (down 1.38 per cent) too were trading with losses.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.64 per cent down at 16,544.50 around 11:47 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 70.40 points at 10,848.30 while the BSE Sensex was down 217.13 points at 36,843.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of LIC Housing Finance, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, DLF, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Dish TV India, NMDC and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
