Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; Dilip Buildcon slumps 7%

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon (down 7.36 per cent), HEG (down 4.85 per cent), Graphite India (down 4.48 per cent) and Suzlon Energy (down 3.76 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Lakshmi Machine Works (down 3.72 per cent), GE T&D India (down 3.28 per cent), Carborundum Universal (down 2.50 per cent) and CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 2.30 per cent) too were trading in the red.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.71 per cent down at 18,042.52 around 12:29 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 55.55 points at 11,699.10 while the BSE Sensex was down 169.77 points at 38,897.56.

Shares of Mindtree, Reliance Communications, YES Bank, Reliance Power, Reliance Capital, PC Jeweller, Suzlon Energy, SAIL, Vakrangee, Vodafone Idea, Adani Power, DHFL, Indiabulls RE, PNB, Dish TV India, IDFC First Bank, Tata Motors, JP Associates, Bank of Baroda and Reliance Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
