Share market update: Birla Tyres, Atishay among top losers on BSE
In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks were in the green, while 12 stocks were in the red.

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 116.62 points up at 40,479.85 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Fraser & Company (down 9.88 per cent), Cranes Software (down 9.84 per cent), Birla Tyres (down 9.60 per cent), Goblin India (down 8.66 per cent), Maruti Infra (down 7.99 per cent), Capital Trade Links (down 7.28 per cent), SJVN (down 7.18 per cent), Atishay (down 6.28 per cent), Lawreshwar Poly (down 5.35 per cent) and Modison Metals (down 5.31 per cent) were among the top losers.

The Nifty index was trading 37.30 points up at 11,866.70.
