Share market update: Bank shares up; IndusInd Bank gains 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading higher in Tuesday's session.
Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 3.88 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 3.57 per cent) , Bandhan Bank (up 3.09 per cent) , RBLBANK (up 1.62 per cent) , IDFCBANK (up 1.46 per cent) , HDFC Bank (up 0.85 per cent) , Axis Bank (up 0.76 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.85 per cent up at 22033.7 around 02:06PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 134.65 points at 11266.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 449.86 points at 38384.59.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, ICICI Bank, Alok Industries, Tata Motors, SBI, GMR Infra, BHEL, Axis Bank and M&M Financial were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
