Share market update: Bank shares up; Federal Bank gains 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the positive zone in Friday's session.

Shares of Federal Bank (up​ 3.08 per cent)​, IndusInd Bank (up​ 2.99 per cent)​, Axis Bank (up​ 2.77 per cent)​, HDFC Bank (up​ 2.7 per cent)​, ICICI Bank (up​ 2.49 per cent)​, IDFCBANK (up​ 2.48 per cent)​, Bandhan Bank (up​ 2.14 per cent)​, RBLBANK (up​ 1.61 per cent)​, Kotak Mahindra Bank (up​ 0.53 per cent)​ and Punjab National Bank (up​ 0.16 per cent)​ were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 1.88 per cent up at 19763.75 around 12:03 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 109.55 points at 9102.35 , while the BSE Sensex was up 388.2 points at 30990.81 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, L&T Fin Holding, Federal Bank, Axis Bank, Motherson Sumi and IDFC First Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
