Share market update: Auto shares in the green; Tata Motors up 3%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Tata Motors (up 3.49 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.52 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.5 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 1.47 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 1.45 per cent), Eicher Motors (up 1.39 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 1.32 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 1.22 per cent), Exide Industries (up 1.2 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 0.99 per cent), Apollo Tyres (up 0.93 per cent) and Bosch (up 0.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.33 per cent up at 7965.15 around 09:50 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 126.75 points at 12158.25 , while the BSE Sensex was up 419.42 points at 41399.04 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 47 were trading in the green, while 2 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, ITC, NALCO, SBI, GAIL, JSPL and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
